Silla brings a commanding stage presence and dynamic vocal range to The Mulberry Earls. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, her early career included a residency at Prince’s Glam Slam nightclub, appearances at the iconic First Avenue, and opening for The Roots at CBGB in New York. Now based in the UK, Silla has toured extensively across Europe and North Africa, performing at prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall, St Paul’s Cathedral, London Palladium, Jazz Café, Annabel’s, and Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. She has appeared on Later... with Jools Holland, and has performed with celebrated artists such as Bastille, Mica Paris, Katherine Jenkins, Rebecca Ferguson, Ruby Turner, and Sheridan Smith. Her career highlights include performances for members of the UK Royal Family, along with broadcast appearances on BBC, Sky and ITV. With a background in musical theatre and years of experience fronting jazz trios and ensembles, she brings storytelling, elegance and versatility to every performance. As a long-standing member of The Mulberry Earls, Mimi delivered a standout performance at Henley Festival 2024 in the Paradiso Spiegeltent. The show featured original arrangements by the group’s own Richard — a pianist, trombonist, and composer/arranger — who reimagined modern tunes for a dynamic six-piece line-up.
